Inspired by this discussion, I'm now forcing my own set of colors on RinkWorks. (I use Netscape on a second computer almost exclusively for RinkWorks, so I can see original colors in another browser and/or on my main computer.) I have the background set to some kind of beige (RGB 100/90/70% in percent or 255/230/180 in byte values) and foreground set to some dark blue (0/0/30% or 0/0/75). It's proven to be, just after an half an hour worth of testing, much less straining on my eyes. Although the logos look kind of ugly, it's a small price to pay.
