...you have a dream about fellow RinkyDinks, wake up, wonder if it really happened, and then think, "Oh, I should post this on the Message Forum" when you are still more asleep than awake.

Since everyone else is talking about their dreams, I thought I would spend a few words on this one. Granted, it's not the first RinkDream I've had, and I doubt it will be the last, but that's beside the point.

I was having a very difficult time waking up this morning, so I kept snoozing. My way of snoozing does not involve hitting a button on the alarm clock every nine minutes. My stereo, which is at the opposite end of my room from my head, has an alarm clock built into it. I can wake up to just about any song that strikes my fancy. I know there IS a way to just push a button to activate the snooze feature, but I have long forgotten how to do that. Instead, when the alarm goes off, I stumble over to my stereo, manage to turn off the music, and manually reset the alarm for another eight to 15 minutes. Don't ask me how I manage to do any kind of math when I am still very much asleep, but it usually works. (There are the times when I do things like adjust the hours, rather than the minutes, but I've trained myself not to do that very often anymore.)

Anyway, I was doing that this morning, and I had a dream that two RinkyDinks sent me messages over Instant Messenger. However, the messages arrived on my stereo, rather than my computer. I was extremely annoyed because my stereo didn't have a mouse with which to scroll up and catch the messages I had missed. I tried finding an up arrow, but that didn't work.

I finally did wake up, and I instantly wondered if there was any way I could retrieve the messages from my stereo. If not, maybe I could ask the senders to send the messages again when I was online. I stumbled into the bathroom to put my contacts in, and suddenly realized there was NO possible way that could have happened.

So there you have it: A weird dream from a weird RinkyDink.
