OK, I guess I should pitch in with *my* bathroom story here.

I'm one of those control freaks -- I do almost nothing without having thought out how and why I do it. So I get really scared of myself if I notice that I have different socks on, for example, because that suggests that I was out of control at the moment I put them on. For some reason the thought that I might not always be conscious of what I'm doing scares me.

This was back when I was around 13 or 14 years old. Where I lived, the kids in junior high (I think that's the American equivalent) had to take the bus for half an hour to get to school. So, one morning, while on the bus, I ran my fingers through my hair. It felt very sticky and strange, not at all like it normally felt when I had put hair gel in it. So then, I suddenly realize what's wrong, and I burst out loudly: "Oh no, I've put toothpaste in my hair!!"

This was around the time when blue gel toothpaste was introduced on the Norwegian market. I had one tube of blue gel toothpaste and one tube of blue hair gel, and somehow managed to mix them up in the morning. That really freaked out the control freak in me.

Trav"didn't use the hair gel for toothpaste, though"holt
