I couldn't find the article on chicagotribune.com's online edition, either, but they're already hawking it in the archives section for, hey, a measly 295 pennies per download!:

"SITE'S NO VIRUS BUT IT CAUSES INFLECTION

"Looking to put a new accent on 2001?

"Ever wonder what the Republican National Committee Web site would look like if Elmer Fudd wrote it? Or what it would sound like if The Hollywood Reporter were in Pig Latin?

Nice of them to reassure readers that The Dialectizer ain't no ViRus. I read most of the online edition because it was so different from the newspapers I'm used to reading. Except for the usual Reuters Newswire and AP articles, plus Ann Landers etc., the Tribune's articles, strangely, are mostly what I'd call "contentless." Is the Chicago Tribune print edition like that, too??
