What you all said was SOO touching, I wanted to cry! It's nice to know that we have such nice, caring friends, and that somebody would go out of their way to do such a thing! I can't wait to have some of the > hot chocolate (Gee, I wonder why Ticia came up with this idea? ;-) Thank you all SOOOO much! > *HUG*
Well, in all honesty, Mia made the HOT chocolate (with her own little hands [ok, hopefully with a spoon or something]) and told me about it. I said that we HAD to put some in the package with the shirts, because of the whole HOT chocolate incident. :-)
> > > I called the locksmith first thing in the morning and waited the rest of the day for him to tell me that it "couldn't be done"! GAH. So, I drove the truck to Mia's today and Don carpooled. Anyway, through this whole ordeal I was in Rinkchat (mostly, anyway) giving Leen an up-to-the-minute account of why I wasn't at Mia's yet. At the time, I thought it was just because Leen is so concerned and caring. I found out today that she had a more...nefarious...reason for me to go to Mia's house. > > > > *snicker* Well, I DID care, but I was REALLY REALLY anxious for you to open your present! As Sam can attest to, I have absolutely *NO* patience waiting for people to open their presents, and this was especially true seeing as you had no clue that you were getting something. :)
Well, I thought something might be up when you kicked me outa the chat room one day, and when I came in the buffer was filled with dots. ^_^ But I honestly had no idea it was something like this! hehe
(snip)
> I'm so glad you like it! It took us forever to decide what we wanted to get you, because nothing seemed right. You forgot to mention the engraving on it ("Don and Ticia"), so nobody can steal it! ;-)
Yes, it has "Don and Ticia" on a plaque on the front, so no one can steal it. Also, we can't ever give it as a wedding present to someone else. ^_~ Hehe. I'm pretty sure that some of the wedding presents we got were, how shall we say this politly?...hand-me-downs. Especially the orange flowery glasses that had newspaper print stuffed around them for protection... from the 1970's. (They smell like oranges, too.) I think we'll use those as a gag gift sometime. :-)
Anyway, I loved the clock, Don loves the clock. It's at our new place now, waiting for us to move all our other stuff over this weekend! (That's gonna be fun, let me tell you.)
Ti'getting all foofy inside, now'cia
