The RULINGNESS that is Sam and Leen. posted by Ticia on Friday, December 22, 2000, at 20:25:00:
Sam & I got our RULING T-shirts, and LOVE them! We stood there with our feet dripping wet from the snow after just coming home from our first (of 3) Christmases, and read each T-shirt! What you all said was SOO touching, I wanted to cry! It's nice to know that we have such nice, caring friends, and that somebody would go out of their way to do such a thing! I can't wait to have some of the hot chocolate (Gee, I wonder why Ticia came up with this idea? ;-) Thank you all SOOOO much! *HUG*
> I called the locksmith first thing in the morning and waited the rest of the day for him to tell me that it "couldn't be done"! GAH. So, I drove the truck to Mia's today and Don carpooled. Anyway, through this whole ordeal I was in Rinkchat (mostly, anyway) giving Leen an up-to-the-minute account of why I wasn't at Mia's yet. At the time, I thought it was just because Leen is so concerned and caring. I found out today that she had a more...nefarious...reason for me to go to Mia's house. >
*snicker* Well, I DID care, but I was REALLY REALLY anxious for you to open your present! As Sam can attest to, I have absolutely *NO* patience waiting for people to open their presents, and this was especially true seeing as you had no clue that you were getting something. :)
> I got to Mia's today and the first thing she says to me is "Someone sent you another wedding present." and hands me this HUGE box. I asked Mia who it was from and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know." The little LIAR. ^_^ >
Yay Mia! You did very good, girl! :) I would just like to mention that *EVERY* time that I saw Mia on Rinkchat, she begged and pleaded for me to tell her what it was. hehe
> I opened up the card and read who had signed it... Sam and Leen! WooHOO! That was so RULING that I was laughing and hitting Mia at the same time (for telling me she didn't know who it was from [ok, I didn't *really* hit her, but I should have ^_~]) I RIPPED open the wrapping paper. (Did I mention I LOVE opening presents?) And the gift was BEAUTIFUL. Leen, Sam...I LOVE it. It's this really beautiful clock that will look great on the mantle above the fireplace. ^_~ >
I'm so glad you like it! It took us forever to decide what we wanted to get you, because nothing seemed right. You forgot to mention the engraving on it ("Don and Ticia"), so nobody can steal it! ;-)
> I can't tell you, Sam and Leen, how much you guys RULE. I'm soooo glad that I found Rinkworks. I feel like I've known you guys for forever. Thank you SO much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >
I feel the same way! I'm so glad that people like you have found RinkWorks, and that Sam made it possible for us to "chat". :) Thank YOU!!!!!
