Yeaaaaaaaaaah, you know it! I love The Matrix with an almost-scary passion...I love everything about that movie, and I just hope it lives up to my expectations...*crosses fingers* There are just so many thought-provoking statements made in that movie, and the visual effects were amazing. I was a little wary about seeing it the first time because it had gotten a bad review from...oh, Entertainment Weekly, I think...so I waited until it came out on video. I was SHOCKED, but in a very GOOD way. I was hooked on first view. LOL. I admit, the part where Neo awakens in that little pod thing bald-headed and slimy...well, I always FF through that part. Other than that, though, the film impressed me a great deal.

*excited* The Matrix is my absolute favorite movie. I just...I dunno, it's great.

Here we have a movie that is fast-paced, deep and meaningful, visually appealing, and mind-provoking all at the same time. It plays around the boundaries of the human mind, twisting and intertwining the threads of reality and fantasy in unique and imaginative ways. Of course it's science fiction, which is surprising since I usually hate that stuff, but it never takes on a laser guns-and-aliens, cliched warfare plot.

Anyway, I can't wait to see the next installment, either. I just hope it lives up to the hype and doesn't disappoint everyone.
