It snowed yesterday, the first big snowfall of the season. Big, beautiful fluffy flakes, coming down all at once. We were very glad that this past weekend the weather had been so nice, because we'd taken advantage of the warm spell to put snow tires on the car. A good thing too, because Dave and I have been travelling in conditions that are very nearly a white-out.

On the way to work, we pass by a large supermarket complex that has been under construction since the summer. Today I noticed them laying down about an acre of grass sod. They were rolling out the turf and really going at it, pounding it down... in the middle of a heavy storm, with the snow pouring down by the truckload.
