The term "Alberta Clipper" was probably coined by a local weatherman. Anyway it is the name given to those cold air masses from that come to Tennessee from Canada, beginning about this time of year. I think we have one now. Anyway, I've noticed that when the AC comes through, the air suddenly becomes very clean and clear, not to mention cold. At times it collides with local moist air and causes snow, but it's usually very high quality air. Thanks, Canada.
