Women tend to get highly offended when men say derogatory things about them. Does it not offend a good deal of women when men say things like "women should be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen?" What about men saying any woman in a bad mood has PMS? Yet these same women who get highly offended at this see nothing wrong with bashing men "men are jerks, men are stupid, just like a man, etc."

It's a highly hypocritical viewpoint, and one that I personally cannot stomach.

I also cannot stomach people making blanket statements about a group, i.e., "men are jerks"

That is complete and utter dung. Thinking about that statement for more than half a second should have made it apparant to the author that such a blanket statement cannot possibly be true any more than saying "black people are smelly" can be true. To make such a statement indicates the lack of maturity and education on the part of the author.
