My response would have been very similar to Eric's, and he makes good points about Old vs. New Testaments, but I wish the verses on homosexuality had been quoted from the KJV and, more importantly, given context. It is important to continue the passage from I Corinthians to fully grasp the Bible's stances on homosexuality. I'll requote verses 9 and 10 in the KJV, then continue with the all-important verse 11:

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

In other words, the forgiveness offered through Christ washes and sanctifies us from those labels: the fornicators, adulterers, etc, are, for practical purposes, no longer, once we accept Christ's forgiveness. *That's* Christianity's stance on homosexuality: it isn't that homosexuals are automatically, irrevokably condemned to hell; it's that the practice of homosexuality is a sin like any other that may be forgiven. Which is why it's hypocritical for a Christian to be prejudicial or disparaging of homosexuals: such a person may not transgress in that manner but, again by the very tenets of Christianity, certainly transgresses in another that is just as needful of forgiveness and redemption.
