I'm already too excited of our trip to Australia. We'll go there December 14th, but I'm already having plans for the day of traveling.

We live in Finland (You all know where it is, don't You?), so it'll be a quite long journey. My Mom was born in Townsville, Australia, and she wants to show us the places where she lived as a little girl. Her parents moved to Australia before she was born and came back to Finland when she was about eight years old.

Mom, her husband Ossi (yes, pronounced 'aussie', which the Aussies find quite hilarious), and their children (my little sister and brother) Anna and Otto, will go to Australia before me and my other little sister, Heta, and other little brother, Aapo. Heta and Aapo will fly from Kokkola, our home town, to Helsinki in the morning of 14th. I am currently studying in Helsinki University of Technology (actually located in neighboring city, Espoo) and will join them at Helsinki airport (actually located in neighboring city, Vantaa). From there we will fly to London by Finnair, from London to Singapore by British Airways and from Singapore to Cairns by (I think) Qantas. That'll be about 20 hours of flying, I suppose. And of course, it'll be morning (of 15th) in Australia, so we are going to have a very long day.

I haven't thought so much about the time in Australia yet, because Mom will be waiting for us in Cairns and I think she'll take care of things from then on. But I know we'll visit the East Coast (not Sydney, though) and Mount Isa and some places in between them.

Coming back won't be as long a day as going there, because we will be staying overnight in Singapore. But still it's quite long.

I'm so excited of the whole trip that I'm actually afraid of it. I fear that I ruin it by forgetting something crucial, like international driving licence. Or swimming goggles. Or my camera. Or...

Juho
