Most of why Connecticut's gas prices are so high (highest or second highest in the nation?) is because the state requires that only that stupid MTBE stuff be sold. It's more expensive, it stinks, and you get barely half the gas mileage from it. All because of a couple of environmental nutcases. Isn't the gas tax high also? Whenever I drive to Connecticut, I try to time tank up stops so I don't have to do it in Connecticut.

Anyway, be thankful, Georgia: when I was in Connecticut last month, the average price was $1.12 per gallon. Even Massachusetts beat that by fifteen cents or so.
