The weather damage is a good point. I hadn't thought of that. It seems like our roads need serious facelifts every year. I know mechanics in, say, CA, can tell if a car has been transplanted from New England in a second because of the sand/salt damage to it. But my theory holds, at least, for New England down to NJ and PA.

We're finally up to 65mph. That changed either in the fall or early winter.
