Trying but not succeeding -- I didn't realize when you said about the stairs down to level six that you actually meant something slightly different. Sorry about that.

Incidentally, have you checked the rest of that diamond-shaped room? If you have, then you'll know that it has some unusual properties. If not, there are some more areas like that on the lowest levels. You'll definitely encounter some of them.
