"Oh, and Jenkins -- apparently your mother died this morning."

Like most Monty Python, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life is not mediocre. It's either drop dead hilarious or astonishingly stupid drivel. There's no denying their talent. In their best moments, John Cleese and Michael Palin in particular dish out that deliciously twisted, over-the-top British humor in sidesplitting proportions. On the other hand, so much of this film is disgusting, offensive, unfunny, and/or tedious. With the drudgery slightly outweighing the hilarity, I rate this film slightly below average. Python fans, however, may find this one of their best efforts.
