Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)

Reviews and Comments

Indiana Jones' second adventure, while still great entertainment, is the weakest of the series due to its needlessly gloomy atmosphere and explicit violence. (And Kate Capshaw's performance, while sometimes funny, is also annoying.) However, the film should still more than satisfy Indy's fans and lovers of high adventure. The opening scene, involving diamonds, poison, and a Cantonese version of Cole Porter's wonderful song, Anything Goes, is a classic.
