"That would leave you with one!"

Arthur is a clever comedy, and one of Dudley Moore's most successful. He plays a happy, rich drunk whose fortune will be taken away if he doesn't marry a certain woman -- but then he meets Liza Minnelli. John Gielgud steals the show as a formal but sarcastic butler with a deliciously biting command of the English language. Witty one-liners, delivered casually between more prominent but less interesting lines of dialogue, comprise most of Arthur's humor, and its story is all heart.
