For Don Bluth's second film since leaving Disney, he teamed up with producer Steven Spielberg to make this heartwarming story of a Russian mouse family heading to the New World (where the streets are paved with cheese) to escape increasing feline oppression. What's particularly fun about the film is the occasional glimpses of the human world. The human world and mouse world are engaged in the same activities, hustle and bustle, and trials and tribulations, right under each other's noses -- but seldom notice each other. The Somewhere Out There song is a classic.
