When I sat down to watch Spice World, I knew it was going to be bad...I just didn't know how bad. To sum it all up in four little words: it has no storyline. What's it about? Well, it's about five Spice Girls: Ginger (the one who's become cool after she left), Baby (the one who pretends to be a 3-year-old), Sporty (the one who looks and behaves like a guy), Scary (the one with the tongue ring), and Posh (the one who never smiles), and basically a day in their lives (or a few days). But it has NO plot whatsoever. I mean, all we get are boring conversations, gratuitous fantasy segments (which are the worst, IMHO) and some kind of an attempt at being funny. Besides, the action moves so slowly. The whole purpose of the movie is for the Spice Girls to get to their concert on time...which they do, of course, but with many dumb "adventures" along the way. So if you don't want to waste one and a half hours of your life, don't watch Spice World.

P.S. The songs were butchered so bad -- re-mixed and re-worked so they sounded horrible.

Response From RinkWorks:

The movie came out in January 1997, and yet, at the time, Roger Ebert hated it enough to predict that it would be the worst movie of the year. As it turned out he hated Armageddon more, but that he made that prediction at all says plenty.
