I think I switched Waltrips a little too fast. Michael is Darrell's little brother. (There's a joke in there somewhere.) While DW is retired, Michael is still driving. He also does tons of commercials for an autoparts company and a lawn mower manufacturer. That's enough to make him rich, but he is also in the process of becoming a race team owner, with backing from the deep pockets of Toyota.
Michael is something of a clown, but he ain't stupid. I predict that his career as a team owner will surpass anything he has ever done as a driver. His claim to fame as a driver is based mostly on back-to-back wins at the Daytona 500. Even DW hasn't ever done that. Howard
