I've seen a fansubbed copy of the Japanese version. It's quite good. It opened friday, but only in LA, New York and Chicago (I believe). Wanted to see it, but didn't feel like driving up to LA. Saw "Being John Malkovich" instead, which brings me to my point. I saw a trailer for "Mononoke".

A note to all: the word "Mononoke" is not pronounced correctly in that trailer (if they pronounce it wrong through the whole movie I'm gonna be pissed). The trailer pronounced it "mono-noh-key". This is wrong. Almost without exception, all vowells in Japanese are pronounced consistently. This means that the "o" sound is always the same. It is a long "oh" (same as like the Spanish "o"). The "e" is a short "eh" sound. Thus, the correct pronounciation is "mo-no-no-kay". If you pronounce it wrong and I see you, I may slug you. Hard.
