I'd suggest trusting your doctors over a random forum poster, personally. They're not perfect, and sometimes they miss things (which is why getting a second opinion is so important in medical matters) but in general, self diagnosis isn't the way to go. This is why I hate sites like WebMD.com--every time I go to that site and put in whatever random symptoms I'm currently having, it says I have cancer. I'm pretty sure I do not have cancer. But WebMD.com seems to like to list all the really nasty stuff first (perhaps to get you to go to a REAL damn doctor). So I don't try to self-diagnose anymore and just go to the doctor if I'm unsure about something.
