You're going to have to, because I'm not taking your word for it, and I'm done doing the research for this.

Here's a link to a page that explains your "fresh lava dated at millions of years old" claim. I suspect this is the incident you were thinking of. If not, go ahead and find me those cites for the Mt St Helens incident.
