Let's be careful here. It's one thing to take issue with an incorrect use of the scientific method, which is I suspect what you *meant* to say here. But if you're using scientific reasoning to dismiss anything the scientific method is incapable of either confirming *or* denying, that's an equal corruption of science itself.

It's like scoffing at the existence of friendship because independent researchers can't reproduce that on demand in a lab. Doesn't mean "friendship proponents" are crackpots; only that pretending the scientific method proves it is wrong.
