Myself I like tne new Mummy, my all time favorite is The Monster in Young Frankenstine, but the old silent movie of Phantom of the Opera is the best from the classic old movies.

Yeah, I liked all of those too. The Mummy was *brilliant*. I saw Phantom of the Opera in a great old theatre here that has a guy playing the Wurlitzer Organ the way they used to show silent movies in the old days.
Let's see ... of traditional monsters, I like werewolves because wolves are great and it would be cool to be one sometimes; vampires are OK too, because they have style and it would be cool to be able to fly. I don't really like the Frankenstein monster all that much, though, because he's usually portrayed as being pretty thick. I like monsters to have brains and sophistication, as well as the ability to tear you limb from limb and eat you.
Of modern monsters, I guess Alien would be the only possible choice to totally rule. Greatest movie of all time, right up there with the other 15 or so movies which I consider the greatest movie of all time. Understanding quantum physics is nothing compared to the way I can simultaneously believe each of them is, at the same time, the one and only greatest movie ever made.
