FantasyQuest1 - Help Please

I've been looking through other comments, and I don't have oil, winter coat, and float ring. Any idea where I can get them? The game also mentions matches (in the forest). Is that just a distraction? I haven't been able to do anything with the tractor, either. The volcano and northern castle are also very frustrating.
