Yes, I phrased the question wrong. I wanted people simply to state their preference of one over the other. (Incandescent for me -- fluorescent lights may be cheaper to run, but they're harsh, hard on the eyes, and make one's home look like an office building.) Not long after I posted the question, my wife told me I had forgotten "candles," which even give natural sunlight a run for its money.
