Coke from a can is just sort of gross though... it creates this weird film at the back of your throat and never tastes quite right (though Coke from a bottle is okay). I'll always take Pepsi over Coke if all I have is cans, as Pepsi from a can is nearly as good as Pepsi from a fountain. If I'm drinking a diet drink, Pepsi One takes the cake. I don't much care for Dr. Pepper from cans either, but every now and then I'll drink it from a fountain. For some reason certain beverages do just not can well.

> Something else I've noticed: with most sodas, there appears to be one "real" variety, while everything else is considered a knockoff, (eg, Dr. Pepper has its Mr. Pibb, Mountain Dew has Mello Yello) but colas are different. Each brand seems to have its own taste, be it store brand, Coke, Pepsi, or Tab (is that one still around?).

Its taste and texture become more pleasant, and it seems to quench my thirst better. Note I said "warm" and not "hot," maybe just slightly above or at room temperature. Experiment and try a few cans. It's an acquired taste, but you'll never go back to drinking cold Dew again.

That's funny you mentioned Tab. Yes, it's still around. It's made by Coca-Cola. My girlfriend still drinks that stuff every day. The grocery stores don't always have it in stock, so she'll buy all they have. She has come home with, and I'm not exaggerating, 6 cases of Tab. Personally, I think tastes like dirt, but she likes it.
