If your character has identified the message with the code as belonging to S.P. after pulling her file, only then will the code work. Even if you know it ahead of time, the game won't accept the correct combo until after your character's identified the message as belonging to S.P. I've tried. It won't let me.

Also, the part that screwed me up? You have to have cleared the cave of bats before the code becomes relevant. (Hence my thread of stupid a ways back.)
