Little annoying math question

Ok, this is a math question that i heard from a friend who didn't give me the answer and now it's beginning to bug me. The question is how do you make the following into a true equation?

(49-11)/10 = (34+4-6)/19

Now, the trick is that you can add or remove only 1 line (except you may not remove the divided by line or the = lines or the brackets, however you can add a diagonal line to a '/' to make it 'X') Now, the computer doesn't do a good job with the numbers but all the numbers should be in LED format, so the number 8 requires seven lines to draw and by removing the lower left line it turns into a 9 or by adding a line in the lower left of a 5 it turns into a 6. The only exception to this is the number 1, which only counts as one line, and keep in mind that the number 1 cn change into a 7 or a + symbol, and it is not illigal to have a '+9' or '+1' if there is nothing in front. Despite all these restrictions, my friend assures me that there is a possible solution.

-K"I'll get that answer out of him one way or another"az!
