Old enough so that I used them exclusively as a kid, but too young to have known/cared a thing about how they worked except you put them in and type some stuff and a game starts. Mom had an AppleIIe on which I used to write papers until I graduated from highschool, at which point I recieved a "Packard Bell From Hell" from my family as a graduation gift (still in use today!). As a kid, if someone had used the term "5 1/4 inch floppy" I would have said, "huh?" They were all just disks to me. It was big news in highschool when I discovered disks came in smaller sizes. For that matter, I still call them "the big disk" and "the little disk".

I guess its not only about age, but also temperment. I only know what is useful for me to know. I have one brain, and information goes through many, many filters before it is allowed to stay. There is a lot to know out there....

Tyler

p.s. Your bird is very pretty.
