I've played MR a lot, and I long ago came to the conclusion that Knights, Rogues and Druids are superfluous.
A couple of months ago, I tried to see how efficient I could make a party of six without retraining. Five sorcerors and a wizard at the back (don't want the healer to get killed!), and they finished each on level 30 to 34. Looking through the hall of fame, there are very few parties that look as though they hadn't retrained, and none of these had finished quicker.
