There's one avenue that's blocked off because it's too muddy, but there is a way there from the other side of the yard. Having yet to add this game to my notebook of maps, I can't recall which. I don't believe you can get the ladder until you have a need for it - which will become evident in the cemetery. The Sphinx and cogwheel are both in their rightful place, although I don't have the necessary key yet to actually activate the machine. I'll go looking in the yard some more, hopefully I'll stumble upon something
