MV stuck on lvl 7

i've read all the recent messages about being stuck on level 7, but i don't see anything relating to my situation, so i'm worried that it's a glitch.
I'm on position (3,11) in the room with the two pools and the spaces that teleport you all around. i'm trying to move west, but something's stopping me, or teleporting me back.
i can see the hallway i want to get to, there's no other way in, and it's got the last two heroes i need to kill to finish the level.
there's no invisible wall or anything. i've explored the level as much as possible, except for starting over the level. please help
