I'm having troubles with the adventurer maze on MV level 9.

Am I going about it the right way in trying to solo the groups of adventurers by massive hit-and-runs, or is there a way to sneak monsters in past the barrier?

Is there even a monster-portal nearby? I don't need exact directions, but a general ways I should be headed would be much appreciated, if there is such a thing in there.
