Just for the record, I want to mention that home schooling has been around for a lot longer than some people think. I am reminded of someone who when to public school up to the third grade, but who got the rest of his education at home.

He had a successful career, made good money, and died at 84, not owing anything to anybody. He was also greatly respected by all who knew him. He was born in 1911 and lived his whole life within about 60 miles of where he was born. He was a business man, a mechanic, an heavy equipment operator, a carpenter, and knew a great deal about plants and animals. In other words, he was a successful farmer.

He was my father-in-law. I understand Abraham Lincoln's education was a similar story, and he did fairly well too.

We are all home-schooled, but some of us get a little public education as well. I know it helped me.
