That's not the sequence exactly. Obviously, once you've gotten the spittoon, you don't need to grab another one, so you'll need to substitute a third action in the sequence for "Grab the spittoon." Start with the first two actions and try every other option. Remember, if you don't select the correct option on your first try, the game will send you back to the beginning of the sequence, and you'll have to choose those two options again before you can try a different third move.
