movies at sea

On a recent ocean voyage, I watched four movies. They were generally so bad I have trouble remembering their names. One of them was "Troy," with Brad Pitt. It was adapted from mythical history and concerned mostly battle tactics that were used in bow and arrow days. Loud and violent. Don't waste your time on this one.

Another one was about brain washing and mind control. "Borne Identity" or something like that. Mostly car chases and violence with a hokey story.

There was one comedy with two or three good laughs, but not much else. I think it was "A Little Black Book" or something to that effect.
Very forgetable.

The last one was, sadly, the best of the four. It was adapted from Jules Verne's "Around the World in 80 Days." I saw the orignial with David Niven, and this one didn't measure up. I did manage to stay awake all the way through, mainly because there were a lot of cameos and I like to watch for a familiar face to pop up. Jackie Chan was in it and they spent too much time on his stunts. I think I read somewhere that he is giving up the stunts and plans to learn acting. Maybe someday he can be governor of California.
