Outlaws - please help

Alright, I'm stuck in the desert. It's nighttime, and I'm lost. I can't
see my map, and I've traveled in a bunch of different directions
in a bunch of different ways.

I read Sam's post about don't try to map it, you can't, and you're
never more then a surprisingly low number of moves away from
the solution, which honestly, didn't help me at all.

I've tried moving in only cardinal directions, I've tried moving all
the directions in different orders, I've tried moving in only the
noncardinal directions, I've tried moving in one direction over
and over again. Nothing.

Help.
