GOA whats with the stone in the woods, how to get past the face

Okay I have read some of the hint but once again everyone starts their subject with HELP or LOST so I am not going to read all of those, okay here is my list

Diving Mask
Pick
Life Preserver
Dead Fish

Broken Free Trial Sword of Failing
Ticket
Stone of Strengthening
Bucket

Magic Armor of Magic
Key of Questioning
Food Rations
Rope

I have no money and dont know where to get any,
I went through the portal and cant get past the face painter, I have been around the shack but have found no key and where is this crate, and that stone thing in the woods that if you jump on it you die what is that for, and that guy in front of cave whats up with him and how come the money in the cave is his/
Come on guys I need some guidence as I did with POA and TOA which I have finished but once again I am stuck in a new adventure so help me out guys
