> I'll name the two inconsistancies that come to mind: first, what happened to Jack's heroin addiction? The man could hardly function, yet if you missed the first few episodes, you would never have guessed.

I was under the impression that he was functioning on adrenaline that day. I do recall several moments throughout the season where he shows signs of suffering withdrawal, and there is also the fact that was mentioned that he was in the process of trying to wean himself off of it, which means he wasn't going from full-addict status to cold turkey withdrawal that day. He'd already been slowly withdrawing himself from it and was obviously struggling with the desire to shoot up every time he had opportunity. I felt that this point was adequately explained.

> Second, Chase's hand gets shot at point-blank range. Again, if you missed that episode, you would never have guessed. You might have wondered, "Why is Chase's hand bandaged?" but you wouldn't have thought he had gotten shot. Why? Because he's fine, as is Jack's addiction.

You do have a point there. I guess I just let it slide during the season, but thinking back it does seem a little wishy washy to have him functioning normally for half the episodes with a hole through his hand.

It'll really be stretching it if he returns as a character next season with a fully functioning arm, though. :-O

> I'm sure there are more than that, though. But as I honestly can't remember most of the season (I mentioned before how unmemorable it was), I can't think of any more.

I will say this: quick recoveries seem to be a trademark of 24. People are constantly getting shot, lacerated, wounded and seemingly killed, and yet recover in less than an hour. Each season does seem to get worse for that, though. The writers need to be more careful if they want the show to remain believable.
