OK. You asked for it. This is a grandkid story.
Alex is six. He is in first grade and is being tested for advanced placement class. He is big for his age and most people think he is eight. I think he is big because he eats so well. Fortunately, he is a very active kid and is not fat.

Recently, his grandmother and I had dinner with him, his sister and their parents on a cruise ship. Alex looked at the menu and ordered spaghetti, pizza, and steak. Yes, he can read a menu, and usually looks only at the entrees.

On a cruise ship you get whatever you want, so our server didn't even roll her eyes. But she must have been thinking that he wouldn't ever eat that much food. He ate every bite, but skipped dessert.
