Go see a play. Lots of little theatre productions are excellent quality. I saw "42nd Street" in London many years ago and more recently at the Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville, Tennessee. The playhouse was on a par with the professional production in London.

Little theatre plays are a lot cheaper than Broadway. "Cats" at the Cumberland County Playhouse was better than the movie version that I saw on tape. My ticket was $28. I can't remember if that includes the senior discount. It could have been $26. I also thought their production of "Beauty and the Beast" was better than the animated version.

So go see a play. I think the CCP is doing "Music Man" about now. I've seen that before, but. . .

In fact, I've been unable to find any of those three movies as rentals or for sale anywhere within about 20 miles of my house. I've given up on trying to rent movies anymore. I think it's just a given that if it's a movie I want to watch, no one will have it.

Instead they have fifteen copies of Blue Collar comedy Tour, which I can't imagine anyone ever paying money to see, right in the spot where the movie I want should be.
