I learned in a class a couple of years ago that the Mayans didn't distinguish between the colors blue and green. To them the color of the sky and the color of the trees were in the same color spectrum and they didn't distinguish them as different colors.

Also, I've read that a certain group of European herders ( they're called Laplanders or something like that) have 11 different names for shades of gray that they use on a regular basis. Something about judging the weather based on the color of storm clouds.

And, last but not least (and completely unrelated to color facts) I finally got a computer at home (yea!!), so I won't have to try to squeeze in a few seconds of message board reading when nobody's looking at work. Which means, more time for me to post messages. I've been around the board for almost a year, but rarely ever post due to time constraints. Now I'll have so much time to post, you'll all start getting sick of me.
