When I was in college, I didn't own a bicycle (it had been stolen from our garage when I was in high school) but I wanted one. So my father let me take his with me to school my sophomore year. I had the use of it for about a month or two. Then one night I went to go get it and it was gone. I had a chain lock for it, which I usually used, but I'd forgotten to lock it the night before.

I never saw it again.
