Goa, sick of pastry.

Okay, how do i get my character to "know" he needs the ring? i've "thought" over Poppy Selt's (the pastry shop guy)advice for awhile now and nothing new has become of it. i'm about ready to mangle the guy with a crumpet (if such an action existed that is)

also, i read somewhere that the bar-keep tells me about the ring, but all tavern boy says is thank you. advice here would be helpful.

also, i think i'm one coin short of buying the horse. i've listened, and dove, and went to the shack, and watched the bar for money. hmmmmmm......
