generation gap

I have to admit that there is still a minor generation gap. These days, everybody under 30 is a whiz on computers, and the further past 30 you get the less you understand them. But the fastest growing group of computer users is the over 60 crowd. However, not having grown up with computers, some of us old fossils have constant problems.

So here is a suggestion for you. If you are looking for a service project, or if you have time on you hands, of if you would just like to do something nice, offer your services to some old timer who needs help with their computer.

I think RinkWorks is a good place to post this suggestion, because there are lots of young, computer literate people here.

The reason I mention this is that over the weekend, my grandson who just got out of high school, came by and gave me some computer lessons. Mainly, he taught me how to use the CD burner that I have had for three months but had never been able to use. It was a simple thing to him, but a mystery to me.

I am fortunate to have several grandchildren who have grown up in a computer world, but not everybody my age is that lucky. So look around. There may be somebody nearby who needs your help.
