> Hello: Could one of you kind people please tell me everything that you know about the Evolving Figurine? I just found one in a pool on level four. I checked the equipment section and it did not go in there. It is also not an invokable item. What is it and how do you use it? Can anyone use it? At the same time I also found a Cap of Vision. Who should use that? My Knights have bronze helmets, my Rogue has a Cap of IQ, one of my Sorcerers has a Cap of IQ, the other Sorcerer has a Cap of Wisdom, and my Wizard has a Cap of IQ. OH I must have hit the jackpot with that pool trip because I also found a Cap of IQ+1. I think the IQ caps that they have on now are just Caps of IQ without the number. The caps do not give much protection to a fighter. Thank you.
My, you sure ask a lot of questions for a dead man.
Here's a hint that should help you with lot of your questions: under the character view, you have a button labelled "examine inventory." This will give you a fairly detailed survey of everything that character is carrying, whether it's equipped or not. That will at least tell you how an item can be used. For example, it will tell you that the Evolving Figurine can be invoked only during battle, and as many times as you want. In order to find out what it does when you invoke it, well, you'll just have to try it out and see. ;o)
Also FYI, sorcerors cast spells better the higher their IQ, whereas wizards cast spells better with higher wisdom. Vision is an attribute that is primarily helpful in combat, and is most important for the characters in the back of the party who use long-range weapons.
