you can get away from drake if u keep trying to go east. you need to go south of the vampire and do away w/ the beefhead. but before u do that u need to go north of the vampiress to the gate and search thoroughly many times. then west and help that mythical creature. be sure u return to her afterwards for her gift to you. then go after the beefhead.
